Ever been fascinated by Robots? Ever been blown away by smart AIs? Ever appreciated the Machines? Ever been blown away by the uber-cool technology of the Terminator, Minority Report or Mr. Tony Stark? If these are a turn on-s for you, then the event “SIXTH SENSE BOTZ” is definitely the right place for you.
Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad will be organizing an event for all the robotics engineers & tech savvy geeks, i.e., Sixth Sense Botz: A Robotics Workshop. The tag line of the event goes like this: INDIA’S FIRST VISION & GESTURE CONTROLLED ROBOTICS WORKSHOP. Well, that is definitely interesting. This genre of engineering and technology is one of the most explored areas, and has a tremendous future scope. Gesture controls has spread wings way beyond our imagination, and is definitely going to be the next big thing in the coming few years.
The event or more specifically a work shop will be held at Hyderabad in the college campus. It will be a two day work shop starting from September 12th 0900hrs to September 13th 1800hrs. The participants here will be taught the basics of the robotics, but what they get to explore more here are these topics:
- Color Recognition Application
- Ball following robot
- Gesture controlled windows media player
- Gesture controlled mouse pointer (demo).
As per the charges goes, the registration charge per team is Rs. 6000. A team can have 5 participants to the max. Maybe a thought must have just knocked your mind space “6000!!!!???”. Well, for that let me tell you, these charges include the training fee for the two day work shop, an information & software dvd, individual participation certificate and a take away Sixth Sense Boltz tool kit. Now this tool kit contains many things to fancy an EE engineering mind, like gesture controlled mouse pointer (demo), general purpose robotic vehicle chassis, usb powered circuit board and many more.
