How do I access blocked website? 22

Hi folks    , here I am with my very first blog—“How to access Blocked Website” which will be very useful for everyone specially students staying in university hostels where the university administrators block certain websites to avoid students to access them. Also some offices and cyber cafes follow some strategies to block websites.

So the question of the hour is— How do I access blocked website????

And the answer is simple—just use calculator   . Yes you have read it right just use your PC’s or your Laptop’s calculator to do some calculations and surf the way you want….

Now I will tell you some steps to follow in order to access blocked websites:

  • First of all ping the website name in order to get the IP address.

a)      Go to Start then go to Run

b)      Write cmd then press ok

c)       MS Dos will open

d)      Then, write ping<space> followed by the blocked website name you want to access and press enter

e.g   E:\Documents and Settings\sandesh>ping www.twitter.com

e)   This will give the IP address of the website

e.g. Pinging twitter.com [199.59.148.10] with 32 bytes of data

Here 199.59.148.10 is the required IP address which has four IP octet

First IP octet: 199

Second IP octet: 59

Third IP octet: 148

Fourth IP octet: 10

  • Write this IP address in a copy or in a text document in order to refer it some other time.
  •  Start your PC’s calculator, and change it to scientific mode using the “View” menu.
  • Make sure the calculator is in decimal i.e. decimal radio button is clicked.
  • Now write your first IP octet i.e. 199 in calculator and click on Bin radio button.

It will convert 199 in binary format i.e. first IP octet 199 will be 11000111 in binary.

  • Repeat the above step for second, third and fourth IP octet Hence 199.59.148.10 becomes:

199         =   11000111

59           =   111011

148         =   10010100

10           =   1010

Note: Check how any binary numbers are less than 8 digits. Add leading zeroes in order to make     them 8 digits.

  • Hence new modified format will look like:

199         =    11000111

59           =    00111011

148         =    10010100

10           =    00001010

  • Reassemble all the converted IP octets into IP address order

11000111.00111011.10010100.00001010

  • Remove the dots, so as to get one huge line of binary, thus:

11000111001110111001010000001010

  • Copy this binary string
  •  Go to your scientific calculator again, and hit the “Bin” button FIRST (as you are about to enter binary), then paste the binary string.

  • Click on the “Dec” button on your calculator, and you will get the converted value of

3342570506. Copy this value from calculator edit option.

  • Add the hypertext protocol prefix and paste into your browser’s address bar: http://3342570506   and press go.

Congratulations!!!! You have just learnt a simple trick to access blocked website.

Share it with your friends and family and show your technical intelligence…

This was my first blog, hope you all liked it…so here I am signing off, will be back with new blog very soon, till then goodbye and HAPPY LEARNING.

    Ohh gr8 it is!!

    I suppose this would only work on a server that is hosting only 1 website with a static IP address. Basically what you are doing is browsing to the IP of a server. Let’s say for example that site is hosted a godaddy, or any other large shared hosting environment… I don’t believe your process will work. For large websites like youtube or facebook… this will probably work.

    Regards,
    diggleby
    http://www.diggleby.com <—- try it on my site… it is in a shared environment… you get the default website (not configured.. nothing here chief) or nothing at all

    • Sandesh

      I agree wid you diggleby.com dat dis process is nt working on your website http://www.diggleby.com or it may not work on any other large shared hosting environment…..for dis u cn —

      1.try to use https instead of http (dis may nt work on each nd evry website)

      2.use internet based proxy server to access blocked website(but in most cases admin block dese unblocking website also to avoid user accessing blocked website)

      3. dere r many databases available on net containing many proxy servers,go there and get hold of any proxy server.

      Dis method i.e using calculator to access d blocked website is by far d best to access blocked website…..and more importantly websites like facebook, youtube etc generally fall into d category of blocked website….so a general user can access facebook, twitter evn whn dey r blocked,by using calculator method :)

    Is this legal or is a jailtime a real possibillity??

    • ktadder94

      It’s legal. xD Don’t worry. No jail time what so ever :P People do this all the time, the worse that can happen, if your in school is that you’ll get a detention for not doing work, or if your at a cafe or something they could kick you out if they wanted. But they won’t. xD Because they would obviously be losing you as a customer and the people that get mad because they can’t get on blocked sites either. So no matter what you’re in the clear. :D

    I have heard abut this technique. But have never tried it.
    You have explained it well. But I could not open Facebook using Firefox.
    Wonder what I am doing wrong.

    I use Proxy websites like http://www.MaverickEyes.com to access Facebook when I am in School. Guess that is the easiest way for me as of now.

    interesting…. I will try this

  • Roseline Tuly
