Samsung Galaxy SIII is now available in India

Yesterday Samsung has launched Galaxy SIII, the company’s flagship phone in India.Samsung Galaxy SIII is powered by the latest version of Android -Ice Cream Sandwich and has an MRP of rupees 43,180.

It will be available in two colors but White is available now and another color will be available in market after few weeks.

Samsung Galaxy SIII has a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 720P, 1GB RAM, 16/32GB storage with a slot for microSD card, 8MP camera with burst mode, zero shutter lag and backlit sensor, 2,100mAh battery, Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth. The phone weighs 133 grams and has a thickness of 8.6mm.

SIII has nice features like ‘Smart stay’, in which the device recognizes when you are looking at the phone and maintains a bright display for continued viewing pleasure.

Another feature is ‘Pop up play’ feature, which allows user to watch HD videos on the phone while sending an email or text simultaneously.

The phone also boasts of an eight-megapixel camera along with a zero-lag shutter speed, which allows users capture moving objects without delay.

“According to third party data, we have over 46 per cent share in the Indian smartphone market. We are confident of increasing this to 60 per cent this year,” Samsung India Head (Mobile and IT) Ranjit Yadav has told this.

Galaxy S-III smartphone is a strong competitor to the yet-to be launched iPhone 5 (expected to be launched later this year).
