The Aruba Certified Solutions Professional (ACSP) certification is designed to address new networking requirements suggested by BYOD. The ACSP certification is the first industry certification to address the BYOD requirements, and candidates who earn this certification are therefore able to demonstrate their willingness to remain current in the always changing technical demands of the IT profession.
Candidates are not required to earn any prerequisites before taking the ACSP exam. However, in order to make a candidate’s attempts at taking the certification exam more successful, Aruba recommends that each potential exam candidate have a minimum of one year of hands-on experience in designing and deploying WLAN solutions. Additionally, this experience should ideally be within an enterprise environment.
Aruba also recommends that candidates attend the official ACSP training from Aruba Networks, as this course will cover all of the topics tested during the exam. Candidates can also choose to use the exam preparation provided by TestsLive in order to review the concepts tested on the exam.
In order to pass the certification exam, candidates must have knowledge of BYOD networking challenges, Wi-Fi fundamentals, RADIUS for 802.1X, spectrum analysis, and EAP authentication. Candidates should also have significant knowledge of mobile device provisioning for both employees and guests. General knowledge of basic networking concepts is required to pass the exam, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and data traffic flows.
Each candidate will have 90 minutes to complete the ACSP exam. The test will feature 75 questions, which will be multiple-choice.
